About Me
Hey there! I’m Ijeoma (pronounced E-jo-maa), and I’ve been collecting passport stamps and life experiences for as long as I can remember.
My story started in one place but has unfolded across three continents and over 30 countries. I’ve done more than just visit these places—I’ve actually lived in several of them, which gave me the kind of insider perspective you can’t get from a two-week vacation. There’s something about unpacking your bags and setting up a life somewhere new that teaches you things guidebooks never could.
These days, I’m a mom to three amazing teenagers and married to someone who’s just as restless as I am when it comes to exploring new places. We’re always planning our next adventure, whether that’s a quick weekend escape or something that requires multiple connecting flights.
What really lights me up? Digging into the details of a destination—finding those hidden gems, figuring out the logistics that make or break a trip, and piecing together itineraries that actually make sense. I loved doing this so much for friends and family that I eventually became a licensed travel advisor. Now I get to channel all that research obsession into helping other people plan trips that are actually tailored to what they want, not just what some generic travel package says they should do.
If you’re here, you’re probably someone who sees travel as more than just checking boxes. Let’s plan something great together.

ABOUT
About Me.
Hey there! I’m Ijeoma (pronounced E-jo-maa) — a Nigerian American traveler, licensed travel advisor, and mom of three who has called three continents home.
I was born in the US, grew up in Nigeria, and came back to America with my family — the kind of upbringing that means you never fully belong to just one place, and honestly, you stop trying to. Three years ago I made a decision that most people only daydream about: I packed up my life and relocated my entire family to Germany. We just moved back to the US in 2025.
Living in Cologne wasn’t a vacation. It was school pickups and grocery runs and figuring out German bureaucracy and finding your people in a city where you didn’t speak the language yet. It also meant weekend trips to cities most Americans never consider, cheap flights straight into West Africa, and a front-row seat to what “normal life” looks like on the other side of the world.
That’s what this blog is built on — not highlights, not press trips, not two-week snapshots. Real experience across Nigeria, the US, Germany, West Africa, the Middle East, and beyond. I write honest mid-range budget guides for travelers who want to explore confidently — especially the destinations the internet gets completely wrong.
Whether you’re diaspora planning a trip back to Ghana or Nigeria, someone wondering if Germany is actually livable, or just a person who wants real numbers before they book anything — you’re exactly who I’m writing for.
